Here at Coastal Baby we offer a collection of bespoke 100% Superfine Merino baby knitwear and nursery accessories. As a Sleep Consultant and Maternity Nurse I have cared for many babies during the past 24 years and I appreciate first hand the challenges facing new parents when dressing their little ones. It is essential that baby clothes are easy to wear, comfortable and practical. Merino wool is a 100% natural fibre allowing your baby’s skin to breath and help regulate your baby’s temperature. A perfect solution for your little ones wardrobe all year round.
We are so lucky to live on the coast and protecting our little ones in all winds and weather is a priority. Merino wool will keep your baby comfortable all day long in all seasons!
Taking inspiration from our stunning Cornish coast and my personal experiences, we use beautiful 100% Merino wool from Italy. Our knitwear is made to order so each piece is truly a one off. Every delivery will arrive tissue wrapped in a beautiful white presentation box. We offer a choice of ten stunning coastal designs in ten bold and beautiful colours. Our range currently includes Baby Snugs, Rompers, Pram Blankets, Nursery Cushions, Leggings, Hats and Accessory Bags. A beautiful baby gift for all seasons!

Meet the Team
Vickie Bowles
Coastal living in Cornwall is my favourite place to be. I moved from London in 2002 and I set up The Baby Academy in 2013 which is now an established and successful consultancy business. Spending more family time in by the sea has always been a priority for a healthy work life balance.
Coastal Baby is a new and exciting adventure, taking inspiration from our beautiful Cornish landscape, we have many future Merino designs in mind to keep your little ones comfortable and cosy all day long!
Sarah Murray
Sarah is a freelance knitting and crochet designer living in Cornwall. Sarah shares my passion for coastal living and I was inspired by her designs and use of colours and textures complimenting the Cornish landscape. Sarah has been instrumental in capturing the designs as I see them and to each individual finished piece of baby knitwear.
Clare Stagg
Clare established her designer knitwear business in 1982. Clare has a wonderful creative eye for bold colours and loves to use natural fibres like wool and cotton. The majority of Clare’s knitwear is made by machine but she also enjoys hand knitting and crochet as time allows. Clare is calm under pressure and always finds solutions for any issues that may arise.
